JUDGING STARTS: 8:00

With Judging starting at 8:00 am for all the division's except for bands (see below). The staging area is on North Wenas Road. So as soon as Possible move out of the Save-On-Foods Parking lot on to North Wenas Road! You will be told where to go! See map Here! If you which to be judged you must be in place on time. The judges start at the front of the parade and move to the end! The judges only have time to so through the entries one time! So if your entry is towards the front you should be in place a little early!
There will not be Uniform Inspections for Bands prior to the parade again this year!
New Band Information: Band Directors Please Check in at the table in front of the Teriyaki Grill and leave the band members on the bus. You will get your parade number and will move to the NEW road by New Les Schwab Tires business. Which will be the new stagging area for bands! This way you can practice without being interrupted as much as before? There will be a stagging person there to put you in the right place and tell when to move into the parade. See map Here!. This my change check back as we get closer to the 2010 parade!
The Band Judges are on the 1st announcer trailer right before the 2nd turn! Bands should be performing as they go by the judges. They will be judged on there music and how they make the turn! See the Band Judging Criteria Here!
Remember the Save-On-Foods Parking lot is only a gathering place for your Group.
The Selah Bands, Drill Team and Float are not Judged in our Parade!

Any Vehicle That Has An Engine Or Motor Is Required
To Have Insurance Before Being Allowed To Enter The Parade.
The Selah Community Days Association, City Of Selah And The Washington State Highway Department Must Be Named As Additional Insured On Your Certificate Of Insurance (See An Example HERE
)
Any Unit Containing Any Live Animals, Including All Equestrian Units Are Required To Have Insurance And Provide A Certificate Of Insurance.
Although the Insurance requirement sounds complicated or difficult and costly.
It is generally a quite easy requirement to meet.
Simply go to your insurance agent and show him/her (
Rule 16
). We have talked with a number of insurance agents and all
have told us that there would be no charge for this certificate of insurance
unless you do not already carry this base limit (rule 16) on your home, farm
or car insurance. There may be a small charge if you need to increase your
insurance coverage for the one day. If your agent has any questions have

Crews Must Also Clean Up In The Staging Area! In the staging area just move the droppings to the dirt area by the Wahehouse!
All Commercial And Political Entries Must Pay A $50.00 Entry Fee!

CANDY CAN NOT BE THROWN ALONG THE PARADE ROUTE!
The throwing of candy along the parade route has been prohibited in Selah for many years. This rule is to protect the safety of both spectators and participants. It will be strictly enforced! Walkers my hand out candy to parade spectators. Distribution of gifts, merchandise, literature or any other material is prohibited, except with permission of the Selah Community Association, Parade Committee.
