NEW BAND INFORNATION 2010: As this is the seconed year having the new business along the parade staging area. We are trying to figure out how to made things work for us and parade participants!?
Here is what will go on.. Have the bus pull into the Save-on-foods parking lot and check in at the table in front of the Teriyaki Grill. After you are given your parade number you will drive down the new back road through the roundabout to the back of the new Helms Hardware Store. Pull into to the back parking area and unload the band members. You will then walk down the road to the street in front of Les Schwabs. A parade person will tell you where to go. Also as your parade position goes by you will be moved out into the parade. ( A lot of this did not work well last year so we are going to make some changes as we get clooser the the 2010 parade)
After the band members are off the bus it will turn around and go back down the road to Goodlander Rd. turn left and go through the first light to the new light up the hill by the High School turn left on to 1st St. and go through the next three traffic lights and turn left at the forth traffic light, right after Roybal's Lube and Oil. A parade person will make sure the bus goes to the right area! This is the end of the parade area. This is the same as it has been for many years.
As this is the first year trying to make the bands staging better because or the new businesses. Things my change again next year?
One other thing that is important is that you make sure at the band is playing music as you go by the first announcer stand in front of Well Fargo Bank. This is the key to getting a good score!!

All entrys other than bands and dance groups that will be judged must be in the staging area on time. The judges start at the front of the parade and move to the end! The judges only have time to go through the entries one time! So if your entry is towards the front you should be in the staging area early!

Remember the Save-On-Foods Parking lot is only a gathering place for your Group.

It is of great importance that you get your application in by the May 10 Dead Line!
And we can't guarantee that entries will be judged or your narrative read if the application is received after May 13.
Applications received on May 14 will be placed at the end of the Parade and the narrative my not be read!

No entries will be allowed in the Parade if an application is not received by May 14, 2010 at 1:00pm (Which means that you can not be in the parade if you just show up on Saturday. Why because you will not be able to follow the rules. Unless you show up with proof of insurance etc.)

Each unit wanting to be entered will need a separate entry application. Applications may be obtained at Selah City Hall and the Civic Center or Pelzel's Auto Repair.

Applications must include a Certificate of Insurance (see rule 16) and Applicable Entry Fees (see Rule 15). Also include a Announcers Narrative

After reading all the information, Fill out the application Form and Mark which Division you wish to be judged in. Also include how many Walkers and Vehicles are in your group.
