WORKMANSHIP and MATERIALS
40 POINTS

Petal Paper going in the same direction thought out the float.(If Used)
Any patching should not show from the spectator's viewing distance.
Fringe should hang evenly.
The float should appear clean from the spectator's viewing distance.
Hand made decorations score higher than store bought.
Is there any unusual use of materials in the making of the float. (lights, mirrors,)
Are there hand built things on the Float, (Bridges, Buildings)
Originality of the decorations.

ANIMATION & SPECIAL EFFECTS
30 POINTS

Animation should fit the design and theme of the float.
The complexity and size of the Animation will be considered.
Can it be seen from the spectator's viewing distance.
Is there any Special Effects on the float (Smoke or Bubbles)

APPEARANCE AND BEAUTY
30 POINTS

Overall appearance and or beauty will be considered by each judge.
Will the float have crowd appeal.
The float should flow together and be balanced.

THEME AND DESIGN PORTRAYAL
20 POINTS

The floats theme should be displayed and seen by the crowd.
The design of the float needs to tie together with the theme.
The crowd appeal of the theme will be considered.

COLOR AND HARMONY
10 POINTS

The choice of colors on the float harmonize with each other.
The colors tie in with the theme of the float.

MUSIC
10 POINTS

The music needs to keep with the theme.
Sound is clear and of good quality.
Its able to be heard clearly by the spectator's.

PERSONNEL AND COSTUMING
10 POINTS

The personal and or Royalty on the float should smile and make eye contact with the judges.
The costumes (dresses) look nice and fit in with the theme, and design of the float.
The congeniality of the personal and or Royalty on the float will be considered.
